Ouch!

Before

Well, Rob got into a slight accident at work last week. It was raining and Rob decided to run into the office building as quick as possible. Grabbing a few items on his passenger seat, he took off and started running. The next thing he heard was Stephen, one of Rob's co-worker's, yell "Rob, Your Car!". Rob looked back and his car was rolling out of the parking spot. He forgot to set the parking brake! Rob ran back a got to the car with about 3 feet or so to spare right before it was about to run into a parked car. Rob pushed will all his might to slow down the momentum of the car. He got slightly pinched up between his car and the parked car with his left knee and his right knee went right into the corner of the bumper. The end resulted in 3 things:

1. Bruised right knee
2. Huge dent in the bumper from right knee - right knee being perfectly fine
3. Interesting story

Stephen couldn't believe the damage to the car compared to the damage to Rob. It was quite the stupid thing to do as it could have turned out to be a lot worse but Rob just reacted. His director at work, Mike, let him borrow a heat gun and Rob used it to heat up the dent and pop it back into place. It surprisingly worked quite well. While it isn't perfect, it is unnoticeable.

  1. Rob - you are small but mighty. Glad you are okay and am kind of impressed that you were able to do more damage to the car than it was to you!
