6 months old

Last week Ellie turned 6 months old. Part of me can not believe that she is already 6 months old but another part of me can not remember what life was like without her. She is such a beautiful baby girl and we can not get enough of her big beautiful brown eyes. She loves to roll over in both directions now and she does a funny little scootch by arching her back and pushing with her legs. She is now eating all kinds of fruits and veggies and really wants to start eating mom and dad's food. She is not yet sitting by herself but she can sit with a little bit of help from a toy or leaning to touch the floor. She inherited a loud voice from her daddy and frequently likes to use it. She will sometimes just yell as loud as she can -- she is not mad when she does this but just exercising that voice. She is very strong willed and will let you know when she doesn't like something. She recently got two new teeth on the bottom in the front. She handled teething pretty well but we did have some rough nights for a little while. At her Dr. appointment today she weighed 14.84 pounds (25th percentile) and was 26 inches long (58th percentile). The Dr. said she is going to be tall and thin (I believe the thin part but I am not so sure about the tall part). Overall he said she is really healthy and strong.

Showing off her new teeth
Eating yummy baby food. I know the high chair kind of looks boy-ish but we liked the actual chair the best and there were no girl colors.
